# Set up a Checkly connector

> C1 provides identity governance for Checkly. Integrate your Checkly account with C1 for unified visibility and governance over user access.

C1 provides identity governance for Checkly. Integrate your Checkly account
with C1 for unified visibility and governance over the members who can access
your Checkly monitoring account.

## Capabilities

| Resource                | Sync                                                          | Provision |
| ----------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------- | --------- |
| Users (account members) | <Icon icon="square-check" iconType="solid" color="#c937ae" /> |           |

The connector syncs Checkly account members as users. Each member's account
role (Owner, Admin, Read & Write, Read & Run, or Read Only) is recorded as an
informational attribute on the user, along with whether SSO and MFA are
enabled. Checkly does not expose roles as a separately governable resource, so
roles are not synced on their own.

## Gather Checkly credentials

<Warning>
  You need an Owner or Admin on your Checkly account to create an API key and to
  read the account ID.
</Warning>

<Steps>
  <Step>
    Sign in to Checkly at `https://app.checklyhq.com`.
  </Step>

  <Step>
    Open **Account Settings** > **API keys** and create a new API key. Copy the
    key value when it is shown — Checkly only displays it once.
